American Firearms Academy encourages students to bring their own Pistol or Revolver to class, so that they become more familiar and proficient with their Firearm. We use high quality firearms and products from Glock, Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson and many more. We are dedicated, patient and focus on you , the student, to learn the needed skills and vital knowledge through class room and hands on instructions and plenty of range practice. How do our students achieve perfection? Through our curriculum which includes instructor coaching, drills, and lots of practice, because practice makes perfect.
In this 8.5 hours ECCW class, students will learn the following:
* Requirements to obtain the Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry License
* Review and understand the laws pertaining to armed self-defense in Idaho
* Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry Permit reciprocity with other states
* The fundamentals of pistol shooting, cleaning, maintenance, and storage
* The four firearm safety rules, operating, and resolving pistol malfunctions
* Plus many more important topics
* If you live in the Boise, Eagle, Meridian, Nampa, or greater Treasure Valley area, then
this is the class for you.
Students will bring their semi-auto pistol or revolver and shoot a minimum of 100 rounds of factory ammunition during the live fire portion of this class.
Requirement for this Class:
Must be minimum of 18 years of age
A positive attitude
Semi-auto pistol and at least two (2) magazines
100 rounds of factory ammunition in the caliber for your pistol (minimum)
Eye and Hearing Protection required
Pistol Case or Range Bag to transport the firearm to the Range

This Basic Pistol Class is great as a refresher or for new, first time Handgun owners. It combines both classroom time and over one and a half hours of practical live fire on the shooting range with instructor guidance and tips.
In this 8 hour Basic Pistol Class, students will learn the following:
* Firearm Safety Rules and Range Safety
* Firearm and Ammunition Anatomy
* Handgun Fundamentals
* Shooting Fundamentals
* Loading, Unloading, Malfunctions, Assembly, Disassembly,
Cleaning and Maintenance
* Range Time to practice what you learned in class.
* Eye and Hearing Protection are required for the Range Portion of
the class.
Students bring their own Pistol or Revolver and 50 rounds of ammunition to shoot in the range portion of the class.

We offer Group Classes for the Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry License (ECCW) here at American Firearms Academy. At the end of the Idaho ECCW class students will receive their signed Training Certificate of Completion which students take to their County DMV for the processing and fingerprinting of their Enhanced Concealed Carry License application.
